The Nevada Mining Association Convention is just under a month away!
Miners from all over the world will gather in beautiful Lake Tahoe, September 5-8, for four days of networking and celebrating Nevada’s mining industry.

Networking
Simply put, the NvMA Convention is all about networking. In addition to great activities like the reverse expo, the entire convention is designed to create a relaxed environment, where vendors and operators can meet and conduct business with one another.
Activities
The NvMA Convention offers more than meetings, it’s also an opportunity to have fun and celebrate another great year of Nevada mining. Activities like the golf tournament at Edgewood Tahoe, an excursion to beautiful Zephyr Cove, and nightly receptions give attendees the chance to enjoy themselves while networking with their fellow miners.
Speakers
The convention features a number of informative guest speakers, presenting on a wide range of interesting topics. Speakers this year include The Nevada Independent’s Jon Ralston, who will provide an overview on the races to watch in the 2018 election, Kristen White and Mark Ashby will discuss steps businesses can take to prevent workplace violence, and Jeremy Aguero of Applied Analysis returns for his annual update on the state of Nevada’s mining industry.
Celebrating Safety
One of the annual highlights of the convention is the Safety Awards ceremony. The awards celebrate the men, women, and mine operators that exemplify the industry’s commitment to workplace safety. This year, 51 individuals and 29 operations will be recognized for their excellent work and dedication.
Lake Tahoe
One of the most beautiful places in the world, Lake Tahoe provides the perfect backdrop for the convention. In addition to convention activities planned around enjoying the Tahoe scenery, the Lake also offers a variety of recreational activities to enjoy.
