Meet the Mackay Muckers: Kameron Devine

The 41st annual International Collegiate Mining Games are coming to Virginia City, March 20-23. Teams from all over the world will compete in seven different traditional mining activities to fight for the title of best in the world. One of those teams are the University of Nevada’s very own Mackay Muckers! Get to know one of the team members, Kameron Devine.

Year in School: Senior 

Major: Mining Engineering

What are you looking forward to most about hosting the event this year?

Im looking forward to competing with all the international schools we have competed with for the last couple years. Ultimately it would be very rewarding to put Mackay on the top step of the podium.          

What made you want you want to join the Muckers?

I wanted to get involved in my schooling and the mining team was the perfect opportunity to set myself apart while competing at an international level.

What events do you compete in/are your favorite?

I compete in every event that I can, If i can help the team win I’m the first guy to jump in.

What do you want to do after you graduate?

I would like to bring my teamwork skills to a local gold mine in their operations department.
