Miriano “Max” Ravazzolo is the CEO of the U.S. arm of MB America, an Italian construction machinery wholesale business. Originally from Italy, Ravazzolo moved to Nevada in 2002 where he served as the CEO of another international company. In 2010, he became CEO of Reno-Based MB America.
Ravazzolo’s choice of Reno was an interesting and business-savvy decision. He wanted to be close to California, because it had the largest single market, but found Nevada to be more business-friendly.
“Nevada happens to be 10 miles from the border but has a far better business environment and tax system,” he said.
Ravazzolo also enjoys the outdoor activities offered by Nevada—biking, flying gliders and hiking are some of his favorite activities here.
His company serves the needs of the construction industry not met anywhere else. MB America patented the “Bucket Crusher,” which in essence turns big rocks into little rocks –useful in the construction of roads, buildings and landscaping and heavily utilized in the mining industry.
Ravazzolo’s story is a testament to Nevada mining’s ability to bring countries closer together through trade.
